Lottery row: Open debate on September 9

Finance minister Thomas Isaac said he is ready for an open debate on the lottery row on September 9. The debate would be organized by the Keluvettan Study Centre, Kozhikode. He said anyone can ask questions and public and political activists too can participate. He invited the UDF leaders also for the debate.

Calicut Uty: Governor cancels dismissal of teachers

Governor R S Gavai had cancelled the decision of Calicut university syndicate to dismiss three teachers. Three teachers of Zoology department Dr K V Laser, Shibu Vardhan and V M Kannan had approached the Governor, who is also the vice chancellor, challenging the syndicate decision. The Governor in his order termed the syndicate decision as denial of common justice.
