UDF convener P.P. Thankachan has said that the UDF will not nominate any candidate who was in any way associated with outfits accused of having terrorist links.

Opposition leader Oommen Chandy today urged that the State expect action and not debate from Finance Minister Thomas Issac regarding the lottery row. Chandy was reflecting on the inter-State lottery issue while taking part in the Congress District working convention here in the district.

The Socialist Janata party leader M.P Virendrakumar today told that a judicial probe must be held into the Inter State lottery row. Virendrakumar affirmed that the Finance minister T.M Thomas Issac must step down from his post and face the probe into the issue.

Congress spokes person MM Hassan today told that the State Finance minister T. M Thomas Issac was also involved in the Inter State lottery scam. Speaking to the reporters in Thiruvananthapuram, Hassan affiremed that Minister Issac must probe regarding the lottery row.

In the wake of the of the lottery row in the State, Finance Minister Thomas Isaac and the Opposition leader Oommen Chandy have now stepped into an open spat challenging each other raising certain allegations.

The CPM State secretary Pinarayi Vijayan today told that the Congress party and the Opposition leader Oommen Chandy were trying to deceive the people by saying that the rubber import duty was reduced as per the instructions of the Court. Pinarayi affirmed that the Centre was trying to implement anti farmer policies by reducing the rubber import duty.
