RSP hell bent on RS seat; gives letter to CPM
Wednesday, 03.03.2010, 10:45am (GMT)

The Revolutionary Socialist Party, the coalition partner of CPM has handed over a letter to CPM staking claim on the Rajya Sabha seat.

The letter was handed over by RSP state secretary VP Ramakrishna Pillai after the RSP state leadership decided to claim the seat.

According to reports, the front is going through an impasse after the Janata Dal, Kerala Congress (J) and RSP is strongly rallying for their demand.

The election would be held for three seats in the state among which two of them belongs to LDF, the allies are demanding for one seat.In order to find consensus among allies the LDF would hold a crucial meet tomorrow.

The RSP is determined on its demand. It is in the view that, since the Kollam Lok Sabha seat was given for CPM they have a natural right on the Rajya Sabha seat.

The party wants to float all India general secretary TJ Chandrachoodan here.
